ABOUT HEATHER…

Heather Hayes is a triple threat in every sense of the phrase; a performer, choreographer, and educator who has spent the last four years turning heads at SUNY Cortland while earning her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre (Class of 2026). From commanding the stage as the Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes to Shelby Holcomb in John Proctor is the Villain, she closed out her Cortland chapter with a dual turn as Marie/Fairy Godmother in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella.

Heather brings range, commitment, and an unmistakable stage presence to every project. Her roots run deep in Glens Falls, New York; an arts-centric city that shaped her love of theatre from the third grade onward. Her talent was recognized nationally when she became a 2022 Jimmy Awards nominee after winning Best Actress in her regional program for her wickedly fun portrayal of Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda.

Off stage, Heather is equally at home as a teacher and choreographer - most recently staging Hadestown: Teen Edition at her alma mater, working with students on Mamma Mia! and helping produce Dance Demo at SUNY Cortland, a showcase for student choreography. Heather is a strong believer in lifting up the next generation of artists. When she steps out of the studio, you'll likely find her on a hiking trail, chasing white water, or deep in a Harry Styles playlist with her dog, Gemma, close behind.
