ABOUT HEATHER…
Heather Hayes is a rising senior at SUNY Cortland about to receive a B.F.A in musical theatre this spring! In her time at Cortland she has performed in many different roles while learning from the amazing faculty. Some of her favorite Cortland credits include… Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes and Shelby Holcomb in John Proctor is the Villain. Her last performance on the SUNY Cortland stage will be, Maire/Fairy Godmother in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.
She grew up in the charming and arts-centric city of Glens Falls, New York. Where she started theatre in third grade and, during her senior year of high
school, had the honor of being a 2022 Jimmy Awards nominee after wining Best Actress in her regional program for her role of Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda.
Other than performing. she has a love for choreography as well as teaching dance. She most recently choreographed Hadestown: Teen Edition at her alma matter and is currently working with the students choreographing Mamma Mia! She is also heavily involved in producing Dance Demo at SUNY Cortland, which celebrates student choreographed pieces as well as class dances.
In her spare time, Heather enjoyed spending time with friends and family (including her dog, Gemma), hiking, white water rafting, and listening to Harry Styles.
